we’re very sad to record the passing of James Bell with whom we were pleased to have worked and to publish his pamphlet the just vanished place in 2008 & a full collection fishing for beginners in 2010.
James was co-host of UNCUT poets in Exeter where we met, he was very amiable & a very thoughtful poet. We’re pleased to note that Shearsman have just published a beautiful book On the Royal Road which combines James’ poetry with Hiroshige’s woodblock prints.
