jazzman john clarke 1948 – 2018

jazzman was the first poet we published back in 2001 & we are pleased (yet equally sad) to publish posthumously ‘a love supreme –  selected & unpublished jazz poems 2001-2018’

The volume pays respect to his legacy. A stalwart on the London poetry scene, John was instantly recognisable through his words and performance, either at poetry events, jazz venues or anywhere that the inimitable persona of the Jazzman would be seen and heard. These poems reflect the energy and passion John gave to his craft. To quote the man himself jazz is the music of poetry, poetry is the jazz of life.
